Welsh post-hardcore gang Holding Absence have been forced to cancel their forthcoming U.S. tour.
Bad news from the Holding Absence camp: the quintet have been forced to cancel what would have been their first-ever U.S. tour due to "being refused U.S. working visas".
The band were set to hit North America alongside Being As An Ocean and De'Wayne Jackson this month and next, but will no longer be able to make it. Naturally Holding Absence are both gutted about the outcome and down a lot of money due to the financial commitments that had been previously made, so they've put up a limited edition T-shirt on their store that would have been sold at the shows.
Read the full statement from the band, and watch frontman Lucas Woodland explain more, below:
"It is with a heavy heart that we must announce we will not be able to perform our upcoming North America tour with Being As An Ocean and De'Wayne Jackson, due to being refused US Working VISAs by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. We are devastated by this news and would like to apologise to anyone who was or still is coming to a show on the tour.

"We'd like to thank our label and management for working diligently over the past months and going to great expense in their efforts to obtain the relevant approvals for our visit.
"Unfortunately, this has hit us hard financially, as we obviously made numerous financial commitments to a tour that we will now no longer be on. In an effort to offset this loss, we will be selling off the US Tour Shirt that we created with our good friend Jack Rogers. These are available now on our online store, with Worldwide shipping available. Every purchase would help us greatly, and would be much appreciated.
"We will not let this setback hold us back, and will do all we can to make it back to play for our US fans as soon as possible. In the meantime, we will be making some exciting announcements very shortly."
