Putting the situation into context, she adds, “I see guys like Julian Casablancas and Thom Yorke put out multiple records and go back to their bands all time. They do their own shit and nobody thinks it cannibalises The Strokes or Radiohead.
“I’m just trying to get some of that other grass and bring it back over to our side, so I can be like, ‘Try this shit, it’s not too bad.’”
It's a sentiment that Hayley echoed in a recent interview with NME as well, enthusing how much she loves Paramore.
“That excitement and curiosity that keeps us a band,” she said. “We won’t let it happen unless we think it’s the coolest thing in the world, I mean, Paramore’s my favourite band. How dare I ever ruin it?”
Despite the world wanting a follow-up to Paramore's 2017 album After Laughter, Hayley has been making waves with Petals For Armor – having recently become the first female ever to top the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart both as a solo artist and with a band.
