David Byrne confirms new album featuring Hayley Williams, St. Vincent and more
Talking Heads legend David Byrne has revealed details of his new album Who Is The Sky?, and there’s some very exciting special guests…
At Paris’ Accor Arena last night (June 10), Billie Eilish revealed a Hayley Williams-approved cover of The Only Exception: “Y’all did this so beautifully…”
Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen Hayley Williams and Billie Eilish team up onstage – Paramore’s singer joined Billie at Coachella in 2022, before they swapped places the following year and Billie helped sing All I Wanted with Paramore. And their mutual appreciation for each other’s music is still ongoing, as seen at last night’s HIT ME HARD AND SOFT Tour.
On Tuesday, June 10 at Paris’ Accor Arena, Billie unveiled a gorgeous rendition of Paramore’s The Only Exception midway through her 25-song setlist, with Hayley later taking to Instagram to share footage of the performance and write: “@billieeilish i love you sweet baby b – y’all did this so beautifully.”
Earlier this year, Hayley also hung out with Billie’s brother FINNEAS, joining him onstage in Nashville to perform crushcrushcrush at his For Cryin’ Out Loud! : The Tour at the Ryman Auditorium. Since then, she’s popped up with everyone from Turnstile to Deftones, and released a collab with Moses Sumney, I Like It I Like It. Yesterday, Hayley was announced as a special guest on David Byrne’s upcoming solo album.
