As the next leg of the Skeletour World Tour 2025 gears up to hit the U.S. next month, Ghost have unveiled a new episode of their Ghoulbangers Ball series.

And this one is extra special, as it sees the band return to mastermind Tobias Forge’s (or, as he’s frequently called in this video, Toblerone Fudge) hometown of Linköping, Sweden for their first show there since 2015.

Before the gig, host Vanessa Warwick visits the local cathedral that inspired the artwork to Ghost’s debut album Opus Eponymous, as well as chatting to many dedicated fans in and around the Saab Arena on May 22. And, of course, with the whole thing being a phone-free experience, we get some brief official footage from what it looked like onstage, too…

In our review of the opening night of the Skeletour in the UK, we said that, “Ghost already won years ago, a fact spoken to by the legions of Papas and evil nuns filling Manchester’s taxis and trains tonight, not to mention an almost total domination of Ghost shirts in the AO’s postcode. But even for a band with a magical ascent already logged, this all feels like a moment. Iron Maiden had the legendary World Slavery Tour, Metallica had their early ’90s Black Album run, and Slipknot truly arrived with the enormous Iowa campaign.

“With the Skeletour, Ghost can now count themselves among that rare group of bands whose blossoming moments didn’t just do for themselves, but will be remembered as a waymarker in metal’s history books.”
