Ghost announce that their 2025 world tour will be a “phone-free experience”

They put on one of the best rock shows on the planet, but if you’re thinking of heading to Ghost’s recently-announced 2025 world tour, then you won’t be able to take any photos or videos of the gig from your phone.

Papa and his ghouls have revealed that next year’s headline shows will be phone-free, with the official tour poster on their website reading: “This show will be a phone-free experience. Phones will be secured in Yondr pouches. Guests maintain possession of their phones at all times.”

This isn’t the first time they’ve done it – Ghost’s Kia Forum gigs last year, which were filmed as part of the band’s brilliant Rite Here Rite Now concert movie, also used the same technology. But the move has been met with a mixed reaction, with some fans excited that they won’t have to watch through gig-goers’ screens, and others disappointed they won’t be able to take their own photos, or potentially receive or send important messages on the night.
