Right at the last minute, Funeral For A Friend are saving the day for Download Festival.

With Friday night Opus Stage headliners Bad Omens cancelling all upcoming touring plans, the Welsh heroes are swooping in and performing in their place next month.

And just like last weekend’s sets at Slam Dunk, FFAF will be joined on guest vocals by the incredible Lucas Woodland from Holding Absence.

“So it seems like folks quite enjoyed seeing us last weekend with @Lucaswoodland on the microphone,” announce the band. “So much so, that we’ve been asked to do it again, this time at @DownloadFest, headlining the Opus Stage on Friday night, June 14!”

In case you missed it, Bad Omens pulled the plug on their European and UK tour dates, including Download, with frontman Noah Sebastian sharing that the reason being was that he was “experiencing what can only be described as extreme mental burnout”.

“While all the touring and work that we’ve put into this album cycle the last several years has been so rewarding and gratifying, it has also pushed me to the limits of my mental bandwidth,” he said. “Putting my mind and body in conflict with one another in ways that are becoming detrimental to my health on the road.

“That said, after heavy consideration we have decided that we need to cancel all of our performances coming up this summer in Europe and the UK. This decision is in the best interest of my health and wellbeing, and of the long term sustainability of Bad Omens.

“We need to protect and restore all of the energy that will be demanded of us again soon as we transition into the next chapter. We know this will be disappointing, but we ask that you respect our choice to put health first.”
