They’ve got some biiiiig shows coming up – including Korn’s 30th anniversary stadium spectacular, and a long-awaited Canada tour with Halestorm – and then after that, Evanescence are going to seemingly start work on new music.

In a recent interview with 89 FM A Rádio Rock backstage at Rock In Rio in Brazil (via Blabbermouth), singer Amy Lee has confirmed that the band are currently dipping their toes into the “creative process”, for what we sincerely hope will be the follow-up to 2021 album The Bitter Truth.

“We’re not deep in the throes of it yet,” Amy stresses, adding that, “We’ve been doing a lot of creating, and we just have, like, tons of ideas. So we’re gonna get serious and get in the studio in November for the first round – round one.”

Of course, for much of last year, the focus for Evanescence was on celebrating 20 years of Fallen. Speaking to Kerrang! about the album’s phenomenal legacy, but also how it is still unfolding to this day, Amy enthused: “It also hits me what we’ve been doing with our band ever since then. And how it’s not all about just the people that were there in that moment making the album. Credit is due to the band now and all the work and love we’ve put into Fallen all these years onstage.

“We’ve kept it going all these years: playing shows around the world, making new music, living it with our fans. I know when somebody comes to our show that only knows Bring Me To Life, they’re walking away with a new impression that’s a lot more than what they thought. And that drives them to our music, old and new.”
