Megadeth unveil 33-date U.S. tour with Mudvayne and All That Remains
Megadeth have announced their massive Destroy All Enemies U.S. tour in August and September, with support coming from Mudvayne and All That Remains.
Megadeth are well on their way to finishing their new album according to Dave Mustaine…
The new Megadeth album has been "underway" for many months now, and it sounds as though great progress has been made: Dave Mustaine says he now only has one song left to sing.
In an update on his Gimme Radio show (via Loudwire), the frontman shared that the bulk of recording for the follow-up to 2016's Dystopia is done, with background vocals and some guitar work left to complete.
"Thankfully, my partner is coming back out to Nashville, and we're gonna be commencing on some guitar tracks and solos and some ear candy to wrap all that up," he says. "We've got probably about another… I've got one song left to sing, and then another song I've got one sentence that I've gotta finish. Other than that, all the vocals are done on this record, and it'll be time to focus now on background vocals and the remaining stuff with solos and, as we say."

Back in January, Dave shared a tiny snippet of new material, and said that the record was tentatively called The Sick, The Dying And The Dead. "We may change that, because there’s some other titles, and I usually change the titles four or five times before I settle on anything," he explained.
Last June he stated that album number 16 ranks within the top five records of Megadeth’s career. "I think this is probably in the top four records as far as towards the tip of the spear with our career and everything that we’re doing," he enthused. "It’s up there with Countdown [To Extinction], Rust In Peace and probably Peace Sells. The other one I would say is Dystopia. So that would round up my top five."
