Foo Fighters confirm more 2025 tour dates
After revealing their first show of the year last week, Foo Fighters have just announced additional tour dates in Indonesia and Japan…
He's already got quite a lot on his plate as it is, but Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl wouldn't say no to playing with ABBA: "Show me a drum set and I will sit down to it…"
It's no secret that Dave Grohl loves a bit of ABBA, and with the recently-reunited Swedish pop legends gearing up to release their first album in 40 years, as well as a virtual concert residency, the Foo Fighters frontman has shared that he's open to playing drums for them – should they ever ask.
Speaking to BBC, Dave enthused of their comeback, "Oh my god, I'm such a big ABBA fan. When I saw that they were coming back and they had a record, I shot that link to 100 people I knew, then listened to the new song and wept like a baby. I cried like a baby. Oh man!
"It almost sounded like time hadn't passed," he continued of their new tracks I Still Have Faith In You and Don't Shut Me Down. "Plus it was such a beautiful, romantic, melancholy, bittersweet retrospective. Ugh, it's amazing. ABBA can do no wrong."

When quizzed what he'd do if ABBA asked him to play drums for them, Dave then joked: "I'm not kidding dude, I will get up and play drums at your cousin's bar mitzvah! Show me a drum set and I will sit down to it. So yes, I would play with ABBA."
Imagine!
All the way back in 2013, Dave drummed with Ghost (then Ghost B.C.) on the band's If You Have Ghost EP and covered ABBA's I’m A Marionette, so he's already well-rehearsed if the job ever does come along…
