As Foo Fighters gear up to unveil their new record, Dave Grohl has revealed that having strangers hear fresh music makes him feel like a "six-year-old kid with his pants down at school".
Releasing an album to millions of eager fans will undoubtedly fill most (if not all) musicians with many confusing and conflicting emotions – from enormous excitement to a huge wave of nervousness.
And it's the same for Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl, too, who has now admitted that, "The second you hit play in front of a room full of strangers, you turn into a six-year-old kid with his pants down at school. Absolutely. You’re just [fearful].”
He added in a new interview with Mojo: "I’ve never entered into the album process thinking, ‘We’re the greatest, most amazing, biggest band in the world.’”
Nevertheless, The Nicest Man In Rock is also stoked for people to hear the follow-up to 2017's Concrete And Gold, telling Kerrang! that, “I’m so fucking proud of it. It’s unlike anything we’ve ever done.
“I’m fucking excited for people to hear it and I can’t wait to jump on that fucking stage to play it,” he continued. “There are choruses on this record that 50-fucking-thousand people are gonna sing, and it’s gonna bring everyone’s fucking hearts together in that moment. And that’s what it’s all about.”
Fuck yeah.

In other Foos news, the rock heroes recently confirmed that they were postponing dates on their U.S. Van Tour 2020 due to coronavirus.
In an absolutely brilliant statement announcing the unfortunate news, the frontman wrote:
Hi, this is Dave.
Remember me? The guy who wouldn’t even postpone a show when my goddamn leg was falling off?
Well… playing a gig with a sock full of broken bones is one thing, but playing a show when your health and safety is in jeopardy is another…
We fuckin’ love you guys. So let’s do this right and rain check shit. The album is done, and it’s fuckin’ killer. The lights and stage are in the trucks, ready to go. The second we are given the go-ahead, we’ll come tear shit up like we always do. Promise.
