Dave Grohl: 2020 Is "Going To Be An Insane Year Full Of Some Seriously Crazy Sh*t"

In the words of Dave Grohl, "Buckle up…" because it looks like Foo Fighters are up to something very special indeed.

In an exciting new post that also coincides with the frontman's birthday today (happy birthday, sir!), the Foos have unveiled an exciting message from Dave himself as they begin to tease celebrations for their 25th anniversary as a band.

"'Thank you guys for being with us year after year… for singing along and making every show the best night of our lives." the frontman says. "We’re just getting started, so buckle up, 2020… It’s going to be an insane year full of some seriously crazy shit…" Ooooh!

Dave's words also come accompanied by a killer 30-second teaser video, with a riff that has already made us lose our minds.

The new post follows a recent update that suggested the rock legends were in the middle of recording vocals for the follow-up to 2017's Concrete And Gold in… a bath. “Come on in, the water’s fine…” they said, also tagging the photo with #FF2020 and #FF25, alluding to their anniversary.

Both new teasers come after comments from Foos drummer Taylor Hawkins, who told Kerrang! last year that the frontman was plotting a big 2020 – with potential plans to mark the 25th anniversary of the band’s self-titled debut, too.

“There’s a lot of talk, and I think Dave is already mapping out what he wants the next record to be, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something coming down the pipe,” he said. “I can’t 100 per cent spell it out for you for sure, because I’m always the last to know and I don’t want to give it away. But I would imagine there will be something made of the 25th year of the Foo Fighters, for sure. You know us, we never stop.”
