Children Of Bodom have announced their final album
A recording of the band’s final show in Helsinki, A Chapter Called… Children Of Bodom arrives in December.
Children Of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho passed away in his home in Helsinki, Finland last week.
It has just been announced that Children Of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho tragically passed away last week.
The musician died in his home in Helsinki, Finland aged 41, having "suffered from long-term health issues during his last years" according to a press release (a cause of death has not been revealed).
"We are crushed by the sudden passing of our dear friend and band member," say Alexi's Bodom After Midnight bandmates, Daniel Freyberg, Mitja Toivonen and Waltteri Väyrynen. "Words cannot describe this shock and the profound sadness that we feel."
His sister adds: "We are all absolutely shocked and devastated. We ask for privacy and understanding during these hard times. My little brother's funeral will take place privately."
"Alexi was the most loving and magnificent husband and father. Our hearts are eternally broken," says Kelli Wright-Laiho.
