Live review: Beartooth, London Alexandra Palace
Ohio’s finest metalcore exports Beartooth step up to the plate at their biggest UK headline show to date.
Beartooth's upcoming livestream will feature "fan-favourites and setlist staples", plus live airings of songs from new album Below for the first time.
Fresh from the release of their brilliant fourth album Below, Beartooth have announced a special livestream event.
The Columbus, Ohio gang – completed by vocalist Caleb Shomo, guitarists Zach Huston and Will Deely, bassist Oshie Bichar and drummer Connor Denis – are promising "the adventure of a lifetime" for this July 14 virtual event, asking fans: "A live performance event unlike any other. Will you survive?"
As well as airing fresh material from Below for the first time, The Journey Below will also see Beartooth dropping "fan-favourites and setlist staples" in an "immersive, alternative reality", which sounds very intriguing…

Discussing the new record, Caleb stated: "Below is by far my favourite album I’ve made to date. It covers the dark side of dealing with mental strain during the last year. I gave it all I had – musically and lyrically. Is it too dark? Possibly, but it was as honest as I could be about how I felt. I hope everyone is ready to strap in for a wild ride of headbanging and rocking…"
