Black Sabbath and Aston Villa team up for super-limited edition collab shirts and a one-off pair of Predator boots…
After starring in Aston Villa's trailer for their latest home kit this summer, Birmingham's own Black Sabbath have teamed up with the club and adidas for a limited-edition Villa shirt and Predator boot.
Speaking about the collab, Ozzy Osbourne says, “My absolute favourite colours in the world have always been purple and black. It’s been Black Sabbath colours for over 50 years. Tony, Geezer, Bill and I look at this as a huge honour. Up the Villa!”
adidas have also created a Sabbath-inspired custom version of the Predator 24 boot, hand-painted by artist Jordan Dawson.
“Hand-painting this design onto one of adidas’ most celebrated boots allowed me to merge fine artistry, sport, and the spirit of heavy metal music, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind custom piece," says Jordan. "This collaboration brings together creativity and craftsmanship, offering a unique expression that stands out in both the world of sports and art.”
While the boot won't actually be available to purchase, you will be able to see them on the feet of goalkeeper Emi Martinez in an upcoming game.
The limited-edition shirts meanwhile will make their on-pitch debut when Villa play Crystal Palace in the Carabou Cup today (Wednesday October 30). They will be available to purchase from the club shop.
