Abbath To Enter Rehab Following Canceled South American Tour
Following his band's disastrous Buenos Aires show, Abbath has decided to get help dealing with addiction.
Snowy mountains, dark caves, raging fires, and spiked leather fill Abbath's latest video for their new track, dubbed Harvest Pyre.
Former Immortal frontman Abbath embodies the black aesthetic like no other. Rather than get caught up in the philosophy of European satanism and esoteric anti-cosmic beliefs, the dude is content to be a badger-faced wrestler making steely power-thrash about cold wastes, axe-wielding warriors, and non-specific old gods. He's black metal streamlined and overdriven, and we're here for it.
All of this is embodied in Harvest Pyre, the new video for the band's latest track. There isn't an immediate narrative or message in the video, other than that black metal is king, the mountains are ominous, and that even in winter fire will consume us all. But it does feature some incredible visuals of black metal warriors traversing a wasteland and playing guitar in the snow, which is all we really asked for.
