Abbath Launches Corpse Paint Contest

We all love the icy, grinding music of blackened thrashers Abbath, led by the former Immortal frontman of the same name. But just as awesome as the band's music is the singer's iconic badger facepaint, which took the corpse paint designs of early Norwegian black metal and simplified it to a professional-wrestling degree. Now, Abbath want to see how you look rocking the black and whites, and have launched a corpse paint contest in which fans could win a sweet merch bundle by showing off their make-up skills.

Here are the basics: between June 21st and July 5th, participants need to post photos of themselves in their best Abbath get-up with the hashtag #Abbathfacepaint. The winner will receive a copy of the band's new album Outstrider, a T-shirt, and even a little Abbath-brand tin of black and white facepaint.
