Here’s the truth: Malevolence meet the weight of expectation head-on with superb fourth album, and become the next great British metal band.
YUNGBLUD’s Idols is coming in straight at Number One this week, while Malevolence could land in the Top 10 for the first time ever!
The UK’s Official Charts Company have revealed the current midweek standings – with YUNGBLUD and Malevolence both in the Top 10.
The former’s superb fourth album Idols has come straight in at Number One – which would mark Dominic Harrison’s third chart-topper following 2020’s weird! and 2022’s self-titled effort – ahead of the likes of Haim, Loyle Carner and Benson Boone.
Meanwhile, fresh from their surprise Download annihilation, Malev could make their chart debut as Where Only The Truth Is Spoken is also in the Top 10. Vocalist Alex Taylor says, “Thank you so much for all of the support already. We’ve still got a few more days left, so I need all of you, if you can, please go and pick up a copy of the album – it would mean the world to me and the lads.”
