Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin’s cover of Van Halen’s Jump will have you grinning all day
For night four of The Hanukkah Sessions, Dave and Greg pay tribute to “quite possibly the loudest and proudest of hard rocking Jews, David Lee Roth”
Listen to Mammoth WVH’s new single Take A Bow, which features Wolfgang using his late father Eddie Van Halen’s Frankenstein guitar and Marshall head.
Fresh from a glorious Apex Stage set at Download Festival, and ahead of their UK shows with Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, Mammoth WVH have unleashed an epic new single.
The track – Take A Bow – is taken from the band’s upcoming second album Mammoth II, which is due out on August 4 via BMG. Explaining why this latest preview from the LP is just so special, mainman Wolfgang Van Halen shares: “It was the last song we finished. It’s officially the longest song I’ve released to date, and I feel the guitar solo is really special.
“I played the solo on the original Frankenstein guitar and through dad’s [Eddie Van Halen] original Marshall head and one of the original cabinets. It’s straight-up what he used on the earliest Van Halen records. It makes me happy to capture some of dad’s history on this song forever.”
