Watch This 10-Year-Old Drummer Nail Rush’s YYZ

Think you’re good at drums? You’re not as good as Yoyoka, a 10-year-old from Japan, who’s just paid tribute to late Rush drummer Neil Peart by doing a storming rendition of one of the Canadian prog giants’ hardest songs, YYZ, the instrumental maze from their 1981 Moving Pictures album.

"My name is Yoyoka, I'm a 10 year old drummer from Japan. I have a lot of respect for Neil Peart. I am sorry he has gone to heaven, but I would like to dedicate a cover of this wonderful song to him. R.I.P.," reads the description with the video. Job done, it’s a stormer.

Neil Peart tragically died on January 7, after a battle with brain cancer. Dave Grohl called him, “An inspiration to millions with an unmistakable sound who spawned generations of musicians (like myself) to pick up two sticks and chase a dream,” while Metallica’s Kirk Hammett said he was “A master” and Anthrax’s Scott Ian called him “The greatest of all time”.
