The big review: Damnation Festival 2024
What happened when Nails, Gatecreeper, Cradle Of Filth and a ton more brought the noise to Manchester for the biggest Damnation Festival yet.
Robert Eggers’ years-in-the-making remake of Nosferatu is arriving this Christmas – and the first full look is finally here…
The first proper trailer for this year’s Nosferatu has landed.
Ahead of its arrival in cinemas on Christmas Day, horror fans are getting a fantastic look at Robert Eggers’ highly-anticipated remake of the 1922 F. W. Murnau silent vampire classic (although we use the word ‘look’ quite loosely when it comes to Bill Skarsgård’s Count Orlok, who’s unfortunately still pretty under wraps for now).
Starring Bill plus Willem Dafoe, Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult and more, it’s described as a “gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake”.
Enjoy…
While we’re obviously very excited, we know for sure a massive rock star who’s keenly waiting for its release, too: Metallica legend and horror fan Kirk Hammett.
In a 2020 Kerrang! interview, the guitarist told us: “I loved The Witch… The director [Robert Eggers] is working on Nosferatu and I’m very excited about that, because if anyone can remake Nosferatu, it’s that guy.”
Based on these two minutes and 40 seconds, we’re inclined to agree…
