Rob Zombie and Mudvayne announce U.S. tour with Static-X and Powerman 5000
Rob Zombie and Mudvayne are taking Static-X and Powerman 5000 out with them on their Freaks On Parade tour this summer…
Static-X play the first show of their reunion tour last night in Tempe, AZ.
Last night, June 18th, marked the return of Static-X with a brand new vocalist on their Wisconsin Death Trip 20th anniversary tour.
After founding frontman Wayne Static passed away, the band had apparently approached a number of singers about filling his shoes, including David Draiman of Disturbed, Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch, Al Jourgensen of Ministry, Edsel Dope of Dope, Dez Fafara of Devildriver and Coal Chamber, and Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory. There was also some awkward controversy a couple of months ago when the mystery vocalist emerged on the stage with a creepy Wayne Static mask, but fans don’t seem to mind too much anymore.
Watch this fan’s video below of their show in in Tempe, AZ at the Marquee Theater, and see for yourself:
Even if fans miss Wayne Static, the band has still got it, and the crowd is crazy for it, fist-pumping, singing along, and crowdsurfing through the set. If you want to be a part of the madness, there are still plenty of tour dates left:
