Watch New Years Day Perform Acoustic Cover Of Pantera's F*cking Hostile
New Years Day have transformed Pantera's metal rager into an acoustic ballad
It's not something we thought we'd ever see, but New Years Day have performed Pantera's Fucking Hostile acoustically. The brutal, hyper-aggressive metal anthem has been reimagined as a stripped-back ballad, performed by New Years Day live in New York.
"They said it couldn't be done," jokes vocalist Ash Costello to the crowd, who all seem to be watching the set through their phones and cameras.
This isn't the first time we've heard New Years Day's version of Fucking Hostile, it was included on their 2018 Diary Of A Creep EP, alongside covers of Don't Speak, Crawling and Only Happy When It Rains.
New Years Day recently announced their new album Unbreakable would be released on April 26 via Red Music, and released new single Shut Up.
“Shut Up was written in a day, which just doesn’t happen,” said Ash Costello. “I was going through some heavy personal stuff, and I was just, ‘Don’t tell me what I want, shut up and give it to me!’”
