The Kerrang! Chart: The best new music this week
The ultimate new music countdown – every Friday!
You’ve heard Coheed And Cambira’s new track already – now watch the video…
Last month, Coheed And Cambria released Shoulders, their first proper new music since 2018’s Vaxis I: The Unheavenly Creatures. Now, the U.S. proggers have released the video, although they remain tight-lipped about a potential Vaxis II album, which would continue the band’s conceptual return to their Amory Wars universe, as on part one.
Talking about the track, frontman Claudio Sanchez said, “In art, in your career, in relationships… No matter how much you give of yourself or try, you have to accept that not everything in life can be a perfect fit.
“As a band, we’ve always been a little outside of the mainstream and that’s helped keep us true to ourselves. As people, it’s important to focus on your strengths and who you are, and not try too hard for acceptance. Everyone is special and has their own unique contributions and that’s what the video represents.”
Meanwhile, Coheed are getting ready to hit the road in the U.S. with The Used, kicking off at the end of the month.
