Album review: Volumes – Mirror Touch
Californian metalcore quartet Volumes don’t quite hit the mark on mixed fifth album
Ahead of the release of their fifth album Mirror Touch in December (with physical versions dropping next February), heavy crew Volumes have shared a new single…
Volumes have dropped a brand-new single, S.O.A.P.
The band – vocalist Michael Barrs and Myke Terry, bassist Raad Soudani and drummer Nick Ursich – say that the track is about “pure and impure indulgence. Good vs. evil. Playing with fire or magic – the lines are blurred here. We self-nurture habits that are deemed immoral, although who is the person making that decisions for us?”
It's taken from their upcoming fifth album Mirror Touch, which follows 2021’s 3/5-rated Happier? and is hitting streaming services on December 12 via Fearless Records (with physical editions arriving on February 27, 2026).
