twenty one pilots have just released the truly epic and unsurprisingly emotional video for City Walls.

The opener to their brand-new album Breach – which is also out today, September 12 – this 10-minute-long mini movie was directed by Jensen Noen, and gives us the conclusion to the incredible story they’ve been telling for the past decade-plus (we won’t say any more than that – just watch the whole thing below).

Previously, frontman Tyler Joseph teased: “So the first song on the record is called City Walls, and that’s gonna be the one that has the music video that kinda wraps up the whole story. And it’s the biggest music video we’ve ever done, it’s the most money we’ve ever spent on a music video, it was five days of shooting, and so that first song on the record really is the soundbed for that final part of the story.”

Revealing that it cost $1million to make, the frontman added, “There were moments we had to recreate old music videos to bring into this music video, so I was wearing clothes that I had been hanging on to for almost a decade and I still fit in them – I was like, ‘That’s dope!’ So recreating old music videos to fit in with this video was the thing that was probably the most expensive and the most difficult to do. But that’s gonna be the part that’s the most exciting: to see how all these old videos come in and tie in with this new video.”
