Ghost confirm they’ll add more dates to their 2025 world tour
With a new show already added in Mexico City, Ghost’s updated 2025 world tour poster says that there’s ‘More dates to come’.
As Ghost gear up to return to the stage in a couple of months, Tobias Forge has teased that “between now and then, there might be new music”.
With Ghost resuming touring this May after wrapping up their North American Imperatour last September, Tobias Forge has hinted that we could be getting new music in time for their next shows.
The band’s upcoming European leg kicks off with several dates in France from May 21, and mastermind Tobias chatted with French radio station OUI FM earlier this month all about it. During the interview he was asked if Ghost would ever consider a ‘by request’ tour where fans essentially pick the setlist, to which he cryptically responded that they would be changing things up from their last tour anyway.
“Even though we’re obviously changing things…” he said (via Loudwire), “it’s more from a practical point of view. This tour that we’re starting… [will see us] changing a few things around.
“The thing is that we always try to change things around, and now just because there has been – there are going to be a few changes. There might be, between now and then, there might be new music. Um, I’m just saying!”
Tobias didn’t rule out ever doing a ‘by request’ tour either, but just explained that if Ghost don’t play certain songs, it’s because “there might be a reason for them not being played”.
Ghost will be touring in Europe up until July 2. A month later they kick off their 27-date Re-Imperatour with Amon Amarth in the States.
