Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
Listen Devil Will Survive by Coria Taynor: a genuinely brilliant mash-up of Slipknot's The Devil In I and Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive.
With a "dark", "heavy", "weird" and potentially "conceptual" new Slipknot album on the way, it'd be nice to get a bit of a palette cleanser before the follow-up to 2019's We Are Not Your Kind arrives, right? Well, Mike Logan, aka DYNAMIKE, certainly seems to think so, treating the internet to the uplifting Slipknot x Gloria Gaynor mash-up of our dreams.
Mike has skilfully combined Gloria's 1978 disco classic I Will Survive with Corey Taylor's vocals from Slipknot's huge .5: The Gray Chapter single The Devil In I for the absolutely glorious Devil Will Survive by… wait for it… Coria Taynor.

But it's not just the names that go so well together: Corey's quieter vocals in the verses work perfectly as the mash-up continues to build, before that 'Step inside!' ’Knot chorus explodes with the infectious strings and horns behind I Will Survive.
Bravo, Mike. Bravo.
Anyway, Slipknot's new album will possibly be finished this month, as percussionist Shawn 'Clown' Crahan said that the band were "hoping to be done by the end of July".
"I can just tell you that I’m really happy, and the guys are really happy. Taylor is on some level of singing that I’ve never heard him, which makes me really emotional," he also teased in May.
"Great music has been written, and because of that, my favourite singer on the planet has sang the songs. And this is the first time we can go into a studio with completed lyrics. When I say 'completed’, I mean written, recorded, but he’s still gonna have his time in the studio to project what he wants to for each individual song. So they’re as done as they can be until he comes in."
