Foo Fighters hit Los Angeles' intimate Canyon Club venue last night for their first proper show since the beginning of the pandemic. Here's how it went down…
Last night (June 15), Foo Fighters played their first proper show since the beginning of the pandemic, performing for just over 600 vaccinated fans at the Canyon Club in Los Angeles.
While it was reportedly picketed by anti-vaccine protesters before the band took to the stage, judging by videos from the night it doesn't look like the Foos were particularly fazed, tearing through a 23-song setlist of absolute bangers.
As well as airing material from new album Medicine At Midnight, Dave Grohl and co. also unleashed the likes of Times Like These, The Pretender, Learn To Fly, My Hero, Walk, Breakout, Best Of You and Everlong. According to setlist.fm, Monkey Wrench was on the setlist too but wasn't performed, which is a shame – but hey, when you look at the rest of the hits, it surely can't have been that missed…

In just a couple of days' time, Foo Fighters will be headlining New York's iconic Madison Square Garden for the venue's reopening. And, once again, fans must be vaccinated to attend.
"We’ve been waiting for this day for over a year," said Dave. "And Madison Square Garden is going to feel that hard. New York, get ready for a long ass night of screaming our heads off together to 26 years of Foos.”
Executive chairman and CEO of MSG Entertainment, James Dolan, added: "The Garden is ready to rock. We’ve been waiting for this moment for 15 months and are excited to finally welcome a packed house of roaring, fully vaccinated Foo Fighters fans to Madison Square Garden."
