They Are Gutting A Body Of Water have just unveiled a new single, RL Stine.

Taken from next month’s album LOTTO (which is due out on October 17 via Julia’s War x Smoking Room x ATO Records), the track tackles a situation that is quite literally close to home for the band’s Doug Dulgarian. “There is a guy who I see every day near my house,” the musician explains. “I always buy him a pack of Newport hundreds, knowing full well that he will trade it for crack. I wonder sometimes if it’s the addict in me, enabling the addict in him, or if I just fully understand his struggle. Perhaps we’re the same after all.”

Speaking about LOTTO as a whole, Doug shares: “In a world of perpetually increasing artifice, this record is my attempt to surface through the sea of false muck. It’s rife with perceivable mistakes, ebbing and flowing with the most humanity I can place on one record.”
