One more song: Do we really need encores anymore?
Encores have long been an established tradition in live music, but are they really necessary? Scene Queen, Boston Manor and The Wonder Years reveal how their shows end by mixing things up…
Before they hit Slam Dunk in June, The Wonder Years have just dropped a brand-new single – and confirmed that an album is on the way in 2022.
They're baaaaack! The Wonder Years have just shared the first new single from their upcoming seventh album – the follow-up to 2018's Sister Cities.
And while it very literally follows their latest album (obviously), the Philly greats' new single – entitled Oldest Daughter – actually picks up lyrically from the song Madelyn on 2013's incredible album The Greatest Generation. "It's about coming to the understanding that you can't save everyone," explains frontman Dan Campbell. "There are going to be people you love who will destroy themselves no matter how badly you want them to stop."
Check it out below – and stay tuned for a new album at some point in 2022…
