The Pretty Reckless announce Christmas EP: “It’s about wonder, hope and holding on to the magic”
Fresh from the release of their rocking cover of Where Are You Christmas?, Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas EP is on the way…
Hear Taylor Momsen duet with her younger self on The Pretty Reckless’ new rock cover of Where Are You Christmas?
It’s not even Halloween yet but The Pretty Reckless are already counting down to the most wonderful time of the year, releasing a surprise new rock cover of Where Are You Christmas?.
The updated 2025 version hears Taylor Momsen duetting with her seven-year-old self, who of course famously performed the track as Cindy Lou Who in 2000’s How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
Speaking to Today in 2020 about that formative experience so early on in her career, Taylor recalled: “The thing that I remember the most that probably resonated with me to this day as an adult was the first time that I went into a recording studio and got to work with the amazing James Horner. And I’ll never forget walking into this beautiful studio, with this immaculate console in front of me, and putting headphones on and singing into a microphone for the first time, singing Where Are You Christmas?.”
She added, “That was such an impactful moment in my life because it made me go, ‘I wanna make music for the rest of my life. I love being in a recording studio.’”
Clearly, that’s exactly what happened to Taylor, who still makes music to this day (and also released new TPR single For I Am Death in August). Anyway, get in the festive spirit with this rocking cover below:
