In a statement shared by the Foo Fighters today, it was announced that the legendary drummer Taylor Hawkins had passed away at age 50.
A true rock'n'roll hero, Taylor was loved by fans and musicians alike, who have all been sharing countless messages of adoration for the man himself across social media.
Sharing a photo of himself with Taylor and Perry Farrell, Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello said, "God bless you Taylor Hawkins. I loved your spirit and your unstoppable rock power. Rest In Peace my friend."
Ozzy Osbourne described Taylor as "a great person and an amazing musician", while The Offspring named him as "one of rock’s greatest drummers."
Producer Mark Ronson has called Taylor "truly one of a kind" and "a generous, joyful, positive, impish, badass, infectiously hilarious, kind spirit."
