“The song is about dancing to your own rhythm…” Watch the video for The Molotovs’ new single Rhythm Of Yourself, taken from next year’s debut album Wasted On Youth.
The Molotovs have just released another excellent new single and video, Rhythm Of Yourself.
Taken from next year’s debut album Wasted On Youth, the track follows previous singles More More More and Today’s Gonna Be Our Day, and was inspired by The Jam, Favourite Worst Nightmare-era Arctic Monkeys and the Sex Pistols, according to a press release.
“The song is about dancing to your own rhythm, whatever you’re being told by those around you,” explains 17-year-old frontman Mathew Cartlidge. “Groove to the beat of your own drum. Don’t let anyone get in the way of your vision. It’s what we’re all about as a band.”
“We’re so pleased with the video – it transports you to a different time,” adds sister Issey, who is two years Mathew’s senior. “The concept is great and it looks amazing – I love those outfits.”
