For those needing a break from the mosh…
As Takedown fast approaches, it’s been announced that Therapy? will headline the Kerrang! Stage to fill Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons’ “very large boots…”
Therapy? have just been announced as the new Friday night headliners of Takedown Festival 2026.
The Northern Ireland alt.rock legends will headline the Kerrang! Stage on the Friday night (April 3) of the Portsmouth event, with Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons having had to pull out due to an ongoing medical condition.
“As you will have heard, Phil Campbell has sadly had to withdraw from this year’s event,” explains Takedown’s Kai Harris. “Phil’s health and family comes first of course and we are sure you will join all of us at Takedown Festival in wishing him a speedy recovery.
“We are super-grateful and beyond excited to announce a band very dear to our hearts that will be filling Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons’ very large boots. The very first band I saw at a big venue 34 years ago, purveyors of the finest bouncy riffage and hooks to die for, the mighty… Therapy?”
Elsewhere, Jack Bennett aka Grumble Bee will also appear at Takedown 2026, along with the newly-revealed winners of the Amplead: Apply To Play scheme, Blacklight Vice, Monochrome and Stone Soup.
The fest takes place at Portsmouth Guildhall on April 3-4, and will also include the likes of PRESIDENT, WARGASM, As It Is, Graphic Nature, Mouth Culture, Vower and Zetra. Get your tickets now.
