Album review: State Champs – State Champs
State Champs’ fifth album finds the Albany band relishing in pop-punk’s glory years.
"It's a song about personal investment of time and effort while questioning the outcome and worth of it all…"
State Champs have unveiled the second track from their upcoming Living Proof album.
The song, Crystal Ball, is, according to frontman Derek Discanio: "about personal investment of time and effort while questioning the outcome and worth of it all. Everyone has to find their own way to seize the moment and stay on their path. Musically, we tried some new things and thought outside of the box to bring a catchy, yet technical dynamic to Champs which we are very excited about."
Living Proof – featuring collaborations with All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth and blink-182's Mark Hoppus – is due out on June 15 via Pure Noise Records. Pre-order it right here.
