2017 may have given us many great musical moments, but we're getting excited for the new Rolo Tomassi album to land in 2018. They release their latest LP, Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It, on March 2 through Holy Roar Records, and they've revealed another mind-melting tune from the upcoming LP.
After being premiered on Daniel P. Carter's BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, the quintet have dropped a video for new new single, Balancing The Dark, which is a haunting watch.
The song was written by guitarist, Chris Cayford, and he had this to say about the track: “This song, almost unintentionally, became one of the most unsettling we’ve ever written. I remember the first time we put keys over drone on the intro/outro and it instantly set the tone. To me, it just has this bad atmosphere and gives you a feeling that you’re not quite safe yet. The video is a reflection of that, it’s heavily influenced by Sean Durkin’s Martha Marcy May Marlene & The Sound Of My Voice by Zal Batmanglij both of which install a similar feeling in me.”
