Judas Priest announce huge London gig with Alice Cooper
Judas Priest’s 2025 Shield Of Pain tour is getting even more massive, with a new date in Scarborough and an absolutely whopping show at The O2 in London.
Judas Priest are set to work on a follow-up to 2018's Firepower.
Good news! Rob Halford has confirmed that a new Judas Priest album is "definitely" on the way.
In a new interview with May The Rock Be With You in Australia, the Metal God says that the band are already looking ahead to the future – despite still touring 2018's excellent Firepower.
“Judas Priest is on a roll and we're on fire with this music,” Rob says. “The reaction, the support from our fans, and everybody is what gives you that thought of, ‘What would happen if we did another song, then another song and then an album? We might as well go out and tour again.’”
The frontman also continued of their back-catalogue: “Each Judas Priest album has its own character and sound. British Steel is light years away from Painkiller, which is light years away from Stained Class, which is light years away from Sad Wings Of Destiny and Sin After Sin.
“We're always looking for a different type of tilt to what we're about as a band in the next project of songs we're going to release.”
Rob explained that they had all "had a meeting" at home just before they flew Down Under, and in it they were planning what was to come.
“I would say there's definitely another Judas Priest album on the way,” he said.
Exciting!
