After announcing their plans to break up (again) last year, Refused have just announced the UK and European Refused Are Fucking Dead And This Time They Really Mean It tour.

The Swedish hardcore punk heroes will be playing their final headline shows in Germany, France, Switzerland, the UK and Ireland throughout 2025, with vocalist Dennis Lyxzén stating, “Gotta love festivals but of course we want to come and sweat and dance with you one last time. We could not be more excited, let’s make sure that we celebrate the demise of Refused in grand fashion!!!”

In a detailed 2024 explanation about the end of the band and how the decision was made, drummer David Sandström shared that, “We gave it several shots between 2012 and 2024. We all have different takes on how it went and what the legacy of the reformed band will be, but personally I felt we couldn’t quite agree on what we were supposed to do musically, and we were still struggling with that when the pandemic hit. Kristofer [Steen, guitars] felt that he’d done what he wanted to do and left the band in August of 2020 and although there was a delayed effect to the death blow, a death blow it was.”
