Quicksand have announced their first new album in five years, Bring On The Psychics.

Following 2021’s 4/5-rated Distant Populations, the legendary trio – vocalist/guitarist Walter Schreifels, bassist Sergio Vega and drummer Alan Cage – will drop their new LP on July 17 via Equal Vision/Rude.

Produced and mixed by Jon Markson, the record is inspired by a quote from scientist Carl Sagan, as Walter shares: “For this album, I was going back to a lot of my earlier influences about ‘break down the walls’ or ‘start today’. Regardless of whether you’re into hardcore or youth crew, they’re really cool records because they’re speaking to the time and providing possible paths to a better future… with mosh parts. That’s the energy that I wanted to bring to this.”

Quicksand have shared two new singles to mark the announcement, Get To It and Regenerate, with both tracks also serving as the opening songs on the album. Walter says that the former is “the voice in your head calling bullshit on all the ways we overthink” – check them out now:
