“It’s the place where goth meets punk”: Puscifer announce new album and 2026 North American tour

Puscifer are back! The band – Maynard James Keenan, Mat Mitchell and Carina Round – have just announced details of their brand-new studio album, Normal Isn’t.

Following 2020’s brilliant Existential Reckoning, the record is due out on February 6, 2026 via Puscifer Entertainment / Alchemy Recordings / BMG, and is teased as channelling their ‘post-punk influences’ as well as ‘pushing into darker, more guitar-driven territory’. “We’re definitely leaning into our early influences,” reveals Maynard. “It’s the place where goth meets punk. It’s where I came from.”

Detailing its lyrical themes, meanwhile, the frontman explains that, “Normal Isn’t reflects this time we are living in. As storytellers and artists, our job is to observe, interpret and report. We take in our environment and share what we see, and what we see around us does not appear normal. Not by a long shot.”
