AC/DC’s crew sent Taylor Momsen a fun gift after she was bitten by a bat onstage
“I can take bat bubble baths now!” The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen is seeing the funny side of being bitten by a bat onstage supporting AC/DC last week.
The Duke of Cambridge calls Thunderstruck “The best tonic for a Monday morning…”
It’s Monday, so the world is that bit darker than normal. And everyone feels the same about it, too. Prince William knows. His Monday mornings are probably far more palatable than those of real people, but we hear him. And we’re on board with his solution to the shittest day of the week: AC/DC.
The Prince revealed his love of Acka Dacka while discussing music during a walking tour of his Norfolk village for Apple Fitness+’s Time To Walk podcast. As well as discussing Tina Turner’s Simply The Best and Shakira’s Waka Waka, he picked Thunderstruck as one of the best ways to get pumped for another week.
“There's nothing better than, on a Monday morning, when you're a bit bleary-eyed after the weekend and trying to get yourself back into the grind of the week,” he said.
“I have to say, the first time I put it on, and I've heard it a million times now, I was kind of like, ‘Well, this is quite heavy for a Monday morning.’
“But now, when I listen to it, it's the best tonic for a Monday morning. It absolutely wakes you up, puts your week in the best mood possible, and you feel like you can take on anything and anyone.”
“I'd imagine you're going to walk quite fast listening to it, maybe with a skip in your step, with the head-banging. It's a difficult song not to dance to or to nod along to.”
William is no stranger to revealing his rock tastes, having previously given the thumbs up to Ash and Linkin Park. Being in Norfolk, he’s only a stone’s throw away from Dani Filth as well, so… QED.
