Poppy has revealed that next single Church Outfit will be dropping at the end of March, and teases that her new chapter incorporates elements of her “dance background”.
After starting to tease her next era late last year, Poppy has officially confirmed the release of her new single Church Outfit.
In a brand-new interview with GRAZIA International, the artist revealed that Church Outfit will be out at the end of March – and according to the publication there’ll also be ‘an album soon after’.
Poppy teased of the intriguing inspiration behind the follow-up to last year’s Stagger EP: “This new chapter of Poppy in this new album, and the visual media, it started because I wanted to have videos that incorporated my dance background.
“So, we worked almost backwards in a way, and there are certain aesthetic elements that I wanted to include and we made the music around that idea.”
Speaking to Kerrang! last year, Poppy said of how her art has helped her get through various situations: “Music, for me, has always been like an exhale. I feel sometimes when I get too cloudy in the head, I have to write things down and it helps me make sense of the things that I deal with on a personal level.”
