Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell has criticised President Donald Trump, claiming that church attendances has been declining, despite Trump "running on a platform of religion."

Posting on Twitter over the weekend (June 26), Perry shared an article about church attendances decreasing, saying "He’s Done More (Damage) to Evangelical religion than any other president."

He followed up the tweet shortly after with "I did a study this morning to find Evangelical church attendance numbers exceedingly receding.

"The President’s claims he’s done more for religion than any other president. True. I doubt he’s aware that he’s actually Turned Off Their Youth. Time for new leadership. God is loving."

Perry isn't the only rock star to take aim at the President lately. Last week, Panic! At The Disco vocalist Brendon Urie told Trump not to use his music at rallies.

“Dear Trump Campaign, Fuck you. You’re not invited. Stop playing my song. No thanks, Brendon Urie, Panic! At The Disco & company," tweeted Brendon.

System Of A Down's Serj Tankian called for the Trump regime to resign. He questioned the President's handling of the protests following George Floyd's death, declaring "Your time has come."

Public Enemy released new anti-Trump single, State Of The Union (STFU) earlier this month also.

“Our collective voices keep getting louder,” explained Chuck D. “The rest of the planet is on our side. But it’s not enough to talk about change. You have to show up and demand change. Folks gotta vote like their lives depend on it, ’cause it does.”

“Public Enemy tells it like it is,” added Flavor Flav. “It’s time for him to go.”
