Spiritbox, Knocked Loose, Green Day, Pearl Jam and more nominated for GRAMMYs
The 2025 GRAMMY nominations are here, with Spiritbox, Knocked Loose (featuring Poppy), Green Day, Pearl Jam, IDLES, Metallica and more all up for awards.
It’s official: we won’t have to wait long to hear Pearl Jam’s first new material since 2020 album Gigaton.
It’s been almost two years since Pearl Jam revealed that they’d been working on a new album, and they’ve just confirmed that music is officially on the way.
Taking to social media, the band have shared a 25-second video – captioned with the “soon” emoji – featuring comments from many of their followers, all desperately asking for a follow-up to 2020’s Gigaton. Watching the clip, there’s also many super-fans referencing Dark Matter – which could either be a single or album title?! Very interesting…
According to a report from The Columbian, Pearl Jam recently hit The Troubadour in West Hollywood and played their new record to a ‘few hundred family, friends, industry insiders and reporters’. Even more promisingly, apparently frontman Eddie Vedder told those in attendance of the album: “You all get together as a group as we’ve been doing for 30-plus years and you say, ‘Let’s try it again.’ No hyperbole, I think this is our best work.”
As well as all this Pearl Jam excitement, you can catch Eddie back in the UK next month at the Royal Albert Hall as part of a charity performance with Roger Daltrey, Kelly Jones, Robert Plant with Saving Grace, Pete Townshend and Paul Weller.
