Six Takeaways From The 2020 GRAMMY Awards
Here are six moments from last night's GRAMMY Awards that stuck with us
The prince and princess of darkness will present an award at this year's GRAMMYs.
This Sunday, the 62nd GRAMMY Awards will go down at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, with this year's nominees in rock and metal including Tool, Candlemass, Death Angel, and the 1975. But now, two more figures of infamy will be appearing at the show: Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, who will be presenting an award Sunday night.
Sharon revealed on her morning show The Talk that she and Ozzy would be presenting at the awards, which will be televised this Sunday night at 8pm EST on CBS (and will be covered live on Kerrang!'s Twitter account). Not only that, but she'll be hosting a live red carpet pre-show with Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier and Keltie Knight.
Here's a clip of Sharon announcing her and Ozzy's participation:
Sharon's news obviously comes at a fraught time for the couple, with Ozzy only recently having revealed a Parkinson's diagnosis. However, both Ozzy and Sharon have been vocal about their desire to fight the disease as best they can, and have publicly thanked fans for their continued support and outpouring of love for Ozzy.
“Just to have all this outpouring of positive reaction from everyone that watches the show, and our friends, it’s heartwarming,” Sharon said on The Talk shortly after the diagnosis. “And I know that Ozzy will be just over the moon. He will be taken aback.
“People have been amazing with their outpouring of love for my husband, and I thank you. Friends that we haven’t spoken to in years have come out and supported Ozzy, and it makes me feel good. And to everyone, thank you.”
