Overkill Rep The Dirty Jerz In New Video, Welcome To The Garden State

Home is where the heart is, and for old-school thrashers Overkill, that home is the blue-collar breeding ground of heavy metal innovation, New fuckin' Jersey. And rather than just honor their motherland with a Dingbatz shirt, the green-and-black wrecking crew decided to pen an anthem on their new album The Wings Of War singing the praises of life in the third state of the union, titled Welcome To The Garden State.

Now, Overkill has released a video for the track, and its as much fun as the song itself. A furious black-and-white montage of Jersey imagery, the video for Welcome... is a nonstop barrage of road signs, industrial infrastructure, and of course, the glorious landscapes of the Jersey Shore and downtown Newark. That the song ends with the 'WOAH' from Bruce Springsteen's Born To Run is a testament to how much these dudes love all things Jersey.
