Bring Me The Horizon are working on the next three records in their four-part Post Human series at once, says Oli Sykes.
After taking to Instagram to reveal that work has begun on the follow-up to last year's awesome Post Human: Survival Horror EP, Bring Me The Horizon's Oli Sykes has hinted at what's to come from the band's new material, as well as confirming that fans will be hearing new songs as soon as possible.
Speaking to NME, the frontman explains that Horizon will be working "simultaneously" on different records from their planned four-part Post Human series, with "parts two, three and four" all on the go at once. "There’s a good chance that we might release songs from each before we release the next record," he says.
"We’ll get songs out as soon as we can. You won’t have to hold your breath for too long. In terms of an actual record, I’d like to wait until we’ve toured this year. We’ve got so much to play from Survival Horror that if we try to release another record before that then it’ll be like, ‘What the fuck do we play?’ I’d like to sample a bit of all three of the new records before one comes out, just so everyone gets an idea of what they’re going to sound like."

Oli adds that he thinks Bring Me's next chapter will address and take on "higher emotions" than the bleakness of Survival Horror, explaining that the first release in the series "was a call to arms record that didn’t necessarily answer any questions. It was just gathering people who felt anxious, angry and paranoid. This second record should be about trying to answer those questions: 'What do we do to feel better? What do we do to make things right?'"
Speaking to Kerrang! late last year, Jordan Fish revealed of the band's plans: "We’ve been writing on and off for quite a while, so there’s a lot of material that’s being worked on. But we haven’t properly got into the rhythm of writing the next EP yet, we’ll probably do that in the New Year. The whole thing’s different to how we planned. We planned to do four EPs in a year, but the last one was almost an album, so I think the spacing will be a bit longer than intended, just because they’re probably going to turn out bigger than intended. That doesn’t matter, as long as they’re all really good."
