California metalcore quartet Of Mice & Men squeak on low-powered eighth album…

Due to a "medical situation that requires immediate urgent attention", Of Mice & Men have cancelled all gigs for the coming week.
The band were set to play last night (April 8) in Flagstaff, AZ, but posted a message on social media stating that not only were they cancelling the show that evening, but also other dates in Grand Junction, Lakewood and Syracuse.
They haven't revealed further details, though frontman Aaron Pauley was taken to hospital last month and went through what the singer describes as “one of the scariest nights of my life.” Hopefully the two aren't related, and whoever is involved here has a speedy recovery.

Last October, OM&M gave a pretty exciting update on plans for their new record – the follow-up to Defy – revealing they'd joined forces with producer Josh Wilbur (Trivium, Lamb Of God, Gojira).
"We're super pumped to be in the studio with Josh, as we're all big fans of his production and mix discography," Aaron enthused. "When we decided to go heavier with this album, Josh's was one of the first names to pop up — and I can tell you, we're a little over halfway done and it's sounding huge and heavy, heavenly and absolutely demonic, all rolled into one."
