Nova Twins have just announced a new partnership with Amnesty International UK on their current headline tour.
While out on the road celebrating latest album Parasites & Butterflies, the duo are taking part in Amnesty’s Change The Record initiative, in which they’ve come up with a ‘bespoke fundraising and awareness partnership’ including selling limited edition totes, badges and prints that push the message of ‘Love Over Hate’.
“We’ve always believed music is about more than sound, it’s about standing up, speaking out and being heard,” Nova Twins say. “On this tour, we’re proud to stand with Amnesty International to spotlight their brave work defending human rights around the world and protecting our right to protest, speak truth, and place love over hate.”
A statement from Amnesty International UK’s Gemma Gillie reads: “We are so grateful to Nova Twins for their support and commitment in joining Amnesty to Change The Record on Human Rights. The culture of the UK is shifting under us. With an increasing creep towards authoritarianism in laws and policies that stoke fear and division, we must push back and defend the human rights that keep us all free. Our strength lies in our diversity.
“This collaboration with Nova Twins is so important, giving fans the opportunity to come together and show their solidarity and support for human rights. This work has never been more urgent.”
