Metallica announce worldwide premiere events for 72 Seasons

Ahead of the release of 72 Seasons on April 14, Metallica have announced they'll be hosting premieres for the album in cinemas around the world the night before.

The events will feature all songs from the album played back with exclusive videos, as well as commentary from the band. Watch the announcement from the band below:

“This is a monumental opportunity for Metallica fans to be the first to hear the new album," says Kymberli Frueh of Trafalgar Releasing, the company Metallica have hooked up with for the event, and with whom they did similar events in 2019 for Metallica and San Francisco Symphony: S&M².

"We are thrilled to be a part of this historical global moment – connecting Metallica with their fans once again.”

The band's world tour begins at the end of April, including a pair of dates at this year's Download Festival on Thursday, June 8 and Saturday, June 10.
